On the other hand Konkona Sen Sharma played the role of a serious writer who had come all the way from Kolkata to pursue her career as a writer. She was serious, sincere and composed. Inspite of having different ways of lifestyle Konkona Sen Sharma developed a good relationship with Ranbir Kapoor.

The story of the young man getting involved with three girls namely Minissha Lamba, Bipasha Basu and Deepika Padukone. He almost cheated Minisha Lamba after spending a night with her in Switzerland and did not marry Bipasha knowing her to be a grand model.

But in the case of Deepika Padukone, he loved her and wanted to marry her inspite of knowing that she was a taxi-driver in Sydney. But later on Deepika herself realized that she loved Ranbir and decided to marry him at last. It was difficult to match the elegance of the three actresses Minisha Lamba, Bipasha Basu and Deepika Padukone in the film, but Ranbir Kapoor did it in style.

But the portion where Ranbir Kapoor went back to India to say sorry to Minisha and Bipasha, was very appealing. He showed the signs of a matured actor and had lot of similarity in dialogue throwing with Rishi Kapoor. He worked as servant of Bipasha to show that he was repentant about his own act. He showed the exuberance of a young man and also the calmness of a person who realizes and feels his mistakes made in life.

The music of Vishal Shekhar was classic, with hit songs like “khuda jain”, “ahista ahista”, “bacchna aye haseeno”, etc. Ranbir Kapoor has all the signs of a popular star and viewers can expect him to carry on the legacy of Raj Kapoor and Prithviraj Kapoor, along with Kareena Kapoor.

Her performance in the film No Entry involves one of such a kind of role where the character was central one. She had lured Anil Kapoor and Fardeen Khan and that had led to misunderstanding with their wives Lara Dutta and Celina Jaitley, respectively. It was solved at the end of the film by Salman Khan. Bipasha’s stylish lips in the song “no entry” created a different dimension in the film.

She even agreed to sign the film Bacchna Aye Haseeno, opposite Ranbir Kapoor who was much younger than her in age. In case of Sonam Kapoor, there was huge expectation especially from that section of the audience who had remained admirers of Anil Kapoor for more than 25 years. She did well also in the film Sawaariya opposite Ranbir Kapoor. Although Sonam Kapoor and Ranbir Kapoor’s performance in the film and the songs in Sawaariya were appreciated, Sanjay Leela Banshali’s project did not get box-office success.

Even Sonam Kapoor’s debue lost the pomp and grandieur due to Deepika Padukone’s historical debue in the film Om Shanti Om, opposite Shahrukh Khan. The film became super hit and Deepika Padukone attracted the attention of the most of the upcoming producers and directors of bollywood films. But she came back with style in the film Dilli 6. She showed the audience that she has both style and can adapt herself in complex roles. In Dilli 6, she played the role of the daughter of Om Puri, who was blessed with modern education and did not believe in arranged marriage with a person other than her choice.

Abhishek Bacchan brought her grandmother Wahida Rehman from US to India (A part of Old Delhi) for spending the last part of her life and treating her as well. As Sonam Kapoor lived nearby, she developed a relationship with Abhishek Bacchan. At the end of the film, Abhishek Bacchan got beaten up by the crowd when he took the disguise of a dark monkey which was disturbing the peace and solidarity of the place.

While the film depicted the fact that inspite of globalization the backward areas of our country are still filled with superstitions, religious fanatism, difference of opinions. There was a scene in the film where Sonam Kapoor expressed herself and said she knew what she never wanted, but could not make up her mind about what she wanted. She showed the sign of a matured actress in most part of Dilli 6.

Critics have a lot of faith on Sonam Kapoor and if she gets good scripts, she can contribute well in bollywood films along with Priyanka Chopra, Lara Dutta, Kareena Kapoor and other actresses.

Happy birthday to Minissha Lamba.

The viewers of bollywood films wish happy birthday to Minisha Lamba on 18th January, 2009. She had been a new icon of bollywood films who had become popular during the last year and is about to act in big banner films.

She started her career in bollywood films with the film Yahaan in 2005. It was directed by Sujit Sircar and he was looking for a newcomer at that time. Minisha Lamba created an impression and bagged an important role in Madhur Bhandarkar’s successful film Corporate.

Corporate was based on the complexities faced by the workers and the employers of the corporate world which is crude reality in the metros. Most of the employees in the corporate world become mentally sick with the monotonous work culture and demand of fulfilling targets. Bipasha Basu gave a lifetime performance in the film and Minisha Lamba also was appreciated for her strong performance.

She acted in small budget films like Anthony Kaun Hai, Dus Kahaniya, Honeymoon Travels Kaun Hai and became a regular actress in contemporary films. Then she got a lifetime role in the film Bacchan Aye Haseeno, opposite Ranbir Kapoor. Newcomers in bollywood dream about getting roles under the Yashraj Banner. Minissha Lamba got the role in the very early part of her career.

Bacchna Aye Haseeno was the story of Ranbir Kapoor who had met three different girls in his life and each of the girls had a great influence on his character. He had different experiences with Minisha Lamba, Bipasha Basu and Deepika Padukone and all the experiences eventually shaped his character. Minnisha Lamba gave able lips in the song “ki mujhe pyar hai” composed by Vishal Shekhar in the film. The music of the film was very impressive with hit songs like “bacchna aye haseeno”, and other songs.

In 2008, Minisha Lamba also acted in an important character in the action film Kidnap. She played the role of the daughter of Sanjay Dutt was lived separately from her mother due to differences between each other. Imran Khan, the relative of Amir Khan, kidnapped her and asked for heavy ransom from her father Sanjay Dutt.

Although Sanjay Dutt did not fulfill any of the father’s responsibilities till the call of kidnapper was made, his influence in the society was used for releasing his daughter. He took the call of Imran Khan as a challenge and the rest of the film involved the struggle of Sanjay Dutt in bringing Khan to task.

Minissha Lamba was sublime in the film and showed signs of a matured actress. With a number of new actresses like Deepika Padukone, Sonam Kapoor, Asin, increasing the competition amongst heroines, Minisha Lamba has a challenging task of maintaining her stardom and do even better in the new films in future.
